"Stu!" Dahlia's eyes get wide. "Do you 'member the time we killed that barkeeper here?!" She nods vigorously.

Stu quickly wraps his arm around Dahlias head, covering her mouth. Looking around at the others in the bar.

"First time drinker." He assures them "Wouldn't know reality if it were right in front of her."

She begins to flail one arm, the other securing Rill to her chest. "Mnnnmfff!!"

"I'll let you go if you promise not to talk such nonsense, you're scaring these innocent people"

Stu glances around at the other bar-goers.

"Can I let you go now?"

Dahlia half growls something that resembles agreement.

Stu reluctantly released Dahlia's head.

"All better now?"

Dahlia nods, then resumes giggling. "I'm dizzy!!" She stands up, fluttering her wings, then begins spinning in midair, still clutching Rill. "Dizzy!!"

Stu grabs Dahlia's ankle and pulls her back onto her seat.

"You're going to kill yourself"

He leans over and whispers so as to not alert anyone, "You still have those daggers in your sleeves."

"Oh, right!!" Dahlia places Rill on the table next to her mug, then proceeds to pull the daggers out. She waves them around for a moment. "I forgot!" She then tucks them away into her box and puts it back in her pocket.

Stu begins slowly sliding Dahlia's mug away from her.

"Maybe a full pint isn't a good idea for you..."

Dahlia snatches it back and takes a drink. "I can handle it! Silly Stu..."

Stu sighs. "Okay, okay. Just try not to die on me."

He motions to the bar tender to not give her any more drinks.

"I won't die, I have a baby to take care of!" She gestures toward Rill, who is currently stalking her way across the table. Dahlia scoops her up and deposits her back into her lap with a lopsided grin.

Stu cracks a smile and takes a drink from his mug.

"I've never seen such a lightweight" He laughs "It's actually pretty great."

Rill looks at Stu pleadingly and gives a small mew. Dahlia begins to hum some song, which is frequently punctuated by giggles.

Stu looks at Rill. "I'm sorry, I'd want to get away if I were in your position too, can't help ya."

He shakes is head and brings is mug back to his mouth.

Dahlia suddenly stops, her face lighting up. "Stu! I just thought of something amazing to make in your new lab. We have to go now!" She throws down a dozen coins on the table, gathers Rill, and is out the door before Stu can react.

"Shit shit shit" Stu exclaims, realizing what he has unleashed on the world.

He rushes out the door after Dahlia. "Slow down" He shouts.

"We have to go NOW!" Dahlia yells back over her shoulder. She begins picking up speed, her wings beating as fast as a hummingbird's. She lets herself go invisible as she flies.

Stu huffs and puffs as he runs for his lab. "Not even a century old... this should be easier." He grunts to himself.

Dahlia stops a few feet outside of the lab and settles herself on the ground. What was I doing again...?

Stu catches up a few moments later, completely out of breath.

"Now. Explain this idea to me before you rush in there and kill us."

Dahlia lets herself fade back into complete visibility. "What am I doing here?" She blinks up at Stu.

Stu sighs to himself. Then, an idea come into his head.

"You were going to hand your kitten to me for a few minutes." He says convincingly.

Dahlia looks confused. "But why? She's my baby..." She cradles the kitten close.
