The road to a village...

DM Note: You've begun your journey to a new village. Xananthe is riding a horse just in front of your carriage, leading you on a road which winds through a heavily wooded area. Your armored carriage is currently well equipped, Bacon and Eggs are well-rested, and the morning sun is seeping through the trees. Hurdy, Gurdy, and Frank are riding on top of the carriage, hiding under a blanket to avoid Xananthe seeing them.

PS - it would be good for you all to mention where you are in the carriage. Remember, two can fit in the driver's area, four in the carriage, and as many on top as you can cram on there.

Melkor, from his seat in the front of the carriage, takes out his pipe and meticulously packs some tobacco into it and lights it. He leans back and watches as Gideon drives the carriage, and lets the breeze flow through his hair.

Kaer, perched atop the carriage (and not too terribly concerned about sitting on the goblins), summons her lyre and begins a rather graphic song about an unfortunate adventurer of old. Those listening might catch mentions of a burnt bottom.

Melkor, re-focusing out of his reverie, chokes a little on his smokes and asks Kaer, "Did you just say something about burnt ass?" with a bit of an iquisitive chuckle.

Kaer doesn't pause the song, but on the next lyric, the adventurer's name is found to be Gelkor. He is quite the unfortunate smarm-mage, who suffers from a strange ailment called "azure orbs."

Melkor, still chuckling, mutters a thick "Well played..." and goes back to his pipe while trying to push back images of nosewarts from that unfortunate brothel incident.

Kiryan sits up drowsily on top of the carriage and leans over to Kaer. "You do know the most...unique of songs, don't you? And what do azure orbs have to do with a toasted bottom?"

Stu is sitting inside the carriage, reading his new book happily. He does not make any addresses.

Kaer pauses and chuckles. "Ask Melkor. I'm sure he can explain it for you, young'n." She resumes quietly strumming the lyre with a smile, but sings no more.

Melkor responds to Kaer's comment, saying "Well, I'm not sure exactly how the blue nose warts are exactly connected to a burnt bottom...unless you mean that quite soon after, I had a poisoned crossbow bolt protruding from my hindquarters. In which case my ass was kinda burning." Melkor continues smoking his pipe.

Gideon says "Thats what you get for being able to catch disease"

Melkor grins. "Yeah well, it was toooooooooooootally worth it."

Kiryan shudders with disgust.

Mhoram sits in a corner of the carriage contemplating the meaning of everything, lightly meditating.

Gideon replys, with a smile, "All the fun, without any of the risk"

Melkor continues grinning. "Ah, but whats the fun if there's no risk involved?" He blows out a thick smoke ring and watches it gently disperse.

OOG: TURBULENT FLOW PHYSICS AHHH

Gideon replys "Ill tell you where the fun is, a little below the waist"

Kiryan pulls an exasperated face, and whispers to Kaer, "I'm amazed that they can find whores desperate enough..."

Melkor, slightly pulling his ears back, cocks his smile slightly to the side and says to Kiryan, "I bet I have better luck than you do, girly..." while taking a long puff of smoke.

Snicker

Mhoram's thoughts drift to his mechanical frog waiting for him, and possible names. He ponders the name biscuits.

Kaer chokes a bit on the swig of liquor she was in the middle of taking and laughs loudly. "The paladin knows these things, eh?"

Melkor chuckles. He says "It seems that 'good' and 'good time' aren't too far apart these days..." giving Gideon a sly look.

Gideon replys "Maidens are saved from time to time"

Adeleine sits knees bent on top of the carriage, and her wolf, Devor, is laying next to her. She is watching the woods carefully, taking note of every little sound and motion while tries to drown out the awkward conversation coming from below.
